North View Canvas uses Sunbrella Canvas Fabric
Sunbrella fabric is made from 100 percent solution-dyed acrylic fibers, which gives it color brightness, which is unsurpassed. As a woven product, Sunbrella fabrics dry quickly and because they are made from solution-dyed fabrics, the color is locked deep inside the fabric, offering excellent fade resistance and the ability to withstand harsh cleanings with water and bleach mixtures. Sunbrella being a woven fabric can breathe and is translucent.CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Keep dirt, leaves and other debris from accumulating on the fabric
surface. Must keep propped up. Washing down with a garden hose on a bright
sunny day is recommended about once a month.
2. Because Sunbrella fabrics are made from acrylic yarns, they will not
support the growth of mildew, but if dirt is allowed to remain on fabric
for any length of time, the dirt will support mildew growth.
3. To remove dirt or other debris, use a mixture of warm and natural soap.
If heavy stain removal is required, use a mixture of no more than four-ounces
of chlorine bleach, two ounces of natural soap and one gallon of water.
Rinse out thoroughly with clean water. (Chlorine bleach is required for
mildew removal because mildew is a living organism, similar to algae,
which must be killed in order to restore the fabric and to assure that
the mildew does not rapidly reappear).
4. When aggressive cleaning or stain removal has been done, the
fabric should be treated with 303, which restores
Sunbrella fabric's water resistant characteristics to a near-new
condition.
5. Sunbrella may be dry cleaned, but once again it will need to be treated
with 303 afterwards to reestablish water repellence.
6. When washing or cleaning, DO NOT subject to excessive heat, steam press
or dry in electric or gas dryers, but allow to air dry.
